With Christmas comes the yearly band concert. Both kids are now in the band, so both participated this year. Owen is in the beginning band, and his group played a few lines from their books and also two "big kid" songs. Olivia is in the regular band, and her group performed four selections. All groups did very well.
In other band news, Olivia tried out for the district honor band. She went back and forth about whether she should give it a shot or not because she did not think that she knew her scales well enough to make it. In the end, she decided to just go for it, and she's glad that she did. She ended up making the district concert band. She was so excited.
